Now in it’s 13th year, the Jack Pyke English Open Sporting has grown in popularity and this year was the best so far with competitors shooting the 120 target course set across most of Sporting Targets from the Plantation to the main ground. The shoot started with some steady targets to help settle the nerves and build a score, a quartering away rabbit on stand 4 stole a target or two, the ramp was the first stand to open up the distance with a long slow crosser and a fast battue on report, midi crow on 9 had a victim or two and then onto plantation 10 the big platform which crushed a few scores, level 4 simo fast long rabbit and 5 yard rat caused some fun, the tower stand created an issue for some and the simo pair on 15 was shot both ways round with various different results.

The course gave something for everyone and all abilities with some laughs along the way, thank you to everyone that took the time out to enter this year’s Jack Pyke English Open.
