The Duke of Edinburgh Award
For those looking to do their Duke of Edinburgh Award and looking at their skill activity, we can offer Clay Target Shooting. .
Clay Target shooting fits into all the awards, Bronze, Silver and Gold
All our instructors are Clay Pigeon Shooting Association (CPSA) qualified and Academy Coaches. We will follow a syllabus that takes you through all you need to achieve for the respective award.
Clay Target Shooting consists of twelve sessions, the first two will be classroom based, assuming the candidate has not already done the “Shotgun Skills Programme“. This is a CPSA accredited course and covers all aspects of Clay Targets shooting including gun safety and handling.
Sessions, ideally, will be run on a weekly basis, each session lasting an hour, on a one to one basis with your coach. We will book all your sessions at outset, as students tend to prefer weekends and these are our busiest times, that way we can ensure you complete on time. We can also accommodate any existing commitments you may have, so timing can be altered from week to week if necessary.
The cost is £40.00 per session, plus cartridges, we would ask you pay for the twelve sessions at outset. Cartidges will be paid for at the end of each session and this averages out £15.00 per session.
We will bespoke all sessions to the students ability, for instance if you have never shot before, we will start from scratch, however, if you already shoot we will assess your ability and use this as a benchmark to move forward. The key being, in any event to show progress.
